Kalyan Karnataka Utsav Dinacharane 2024

This day is commonly observed earlierly in the name of  'Hyderabad-Karnataka Liberation Day'. But by 2019 it will be observed as 'Kalyan Karnataka Utsav Dinacharane(Celebration)'.

While Karnataka became independent with the rest of the country on 15 August 1947, this did not occur in some parts of the state that were under the rule of the Nizam of Hyderabad. Hyderabad consisted of large portions of what were later to be the north eastern districts of Bidar, Gulbarga and Raichur of Karnataka state. The Lingayat minority in these regions also largely believed that they had been neglected and resented the oppression of the Nizam and the Razakars. The Nizam refused to accede to India until his rule was overthrown by force. Following the 'police action' against the Nizam, Hyderabad province and its citizens became independent on 17 September 1948.

This day was earlierly celebrated by the Karnataka government as the 'Hyderabad-Karnataka Liberation Day' but from 17th Sept 2019 this celebration is renamed as 'Kalyan Karanataka Utsav Dinacharane'. Bidar,Gulbarga,Yadgir,Koppal,Bellary,Raichur are 6 districts which comes in Kalyan Karnataka region. These districts celebrates this day with great glory on this day with Indian National Flag hoisting and doing photo pooja of Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel.

Vishwakarma Jayanti also falls on the same day. So plz all dont forget to celebrate this Jayanti too after the celebration of Kalyan Karnataka Flag unfurling.

Happy advance 'Kalyan Karnataka Celebration Day'&Happy Vishwakarma Jayanti to you all by team GKLIGHTS(Deepak.S.G).
